RADAR interference
Updates
We are currently working with other wireless providers in the region, as well as OFCOM, to identify the source of a high number of spurious RADAR interference issues that are causing interruptions to service at present.
As part of the UK’s wireless regulations, if our equipment identifies what it believes to be RADAR operating in the same frequency it must move to a new frequency, however we are seeing RADAR events in frequencies that shouldn’t be affected and are attempting to ascertain why.
In order to mitigate this in the short-term we are monitoring our network very closely and may need to reboot equipment without warning during the day if we experience a RADAR event in order to restore full service, however we will aim to keep all downtime to a minimum.
